High res Jpegs

So after hours of battling with my computer I managed to work out a way of rendering out my videos, it involved me changing the range of frames manually every 10 frames, this did mean I would have to be sitting at my computer the entire render, I also sadly couldnt get past rendering more than 3 frames without a crash when using the required resoloution so i had to use 640 x 480 sorry about that, but whilst i prepare my video here are the high res jpegs of my final model:

Sigh...

So couldn't fix the render problem, decided i know ill make a film composed of shorter 200 frames shots and edit them together, rendering was going nicely.. until computer switched off again, not a problem ill load up the file and finish off the rest of the render, but switching off wasn't enough max had to corrupt my file, fine i thought of this i made several back ups just in case.. but what the hell max has corrupted all 3 files? i don't understand waste of half a day, this project is not going well for me so far.

Rendering...

So as I start up my test render i realise I am going to have some difficulty getting my 30 second video finished, my computer switches Itself off every 20 or so frames, this is very irritating when rendering out 750 frames of footage, so i managed to get around 350 frames done tonight, hopefully i will find a soloution tomorrow, but here is another still render of my structure more or less complete:

Texturing update

So as i was growing increasingly bored of texturing I decided to do a quick comp in fusion using a beauty pass and an AO pass, here's the test comp i am quite pleased with, obviously the texturing is incomplete but overall the comp has come out quite well. I also added in some trees just to get an idea of scale.

Texturing

Started to block out some textures, just some basic colours to give me an idea of how the colours will work together

Scrap the Roof..

Since i did a little bit of research into circular retractable roofs for large buildings it looks like its not the best of ideas, i did come up with a way to get it to work, but it would involve allot to fit it nicely to the bent roof of my structure. The only stadium that i found with this was an american baseball stadium wich however had a perfectly flat top for the roof to slide accross.

Here is the final model of my structure before texturing
